I'm not really sure what I am, it's like I'm on the fence, trying to decide what I really believe. :(

I believe in my own sense of integrity, my own moral standards. I believe we were born with the guidlines necessary to live a good life (though a lot of people have been desensatized to them).

I couldn't follow any religion, there are too many restrictions, meaningless practices and too many people talkin to me about God like they're some fuckin prophet. These people don't know jack shit, they simply believe and have faith. The very definition of faith is "Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence." It's not fact, and it can't be proven by any means of human kind...so where do people get off talkin to me about what God's will is. And what's worse, these people don't even recognize the fact that they don't know. I can't give my faith to people like that.

I have no problem in giving faith to a higher power, I can at least believe there is a greater existance beyond this world. I cannot however, have faith in people.

What the greater existing power is called, I don't know...but it doesn't matter. I think that what's important is just living your life to the best of your ability. We have very vague guidlines, so mistakes should be expected. I think if there's any shred of logic to the almighty's system, there'll be a lot of patience and forgiveness.

I also don't believe that any sort of God has his hand in every working aspect of human life. We were created, given freewill, and let loose upon the earth. Life is our responsibility, so the things we do or that happen in life aren't the workings of a celestial hand, just the way of the world.

I also don't belive in the bible...even if God specifically told humankind what he wanted, it's still human kind's translation and interpretation...and it's imperfect. Also consider humanity's tendancey towards corruption. They've got in their hands something that would give them power. They can tell people this is God's will and the people will believe and follow these prophets. Whether it is or isn't God's will, the people will belive, and that gives them control. Tell me there's no room for corruption here, and if you can prove to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that the very words in the bible are God's will to the exact testiment, then I'll believe. But it can't be proven.

Hell, the mormon church says you shouldn't question things like that, 'lest you welcome God's wrath (but they claim God is loving and forgiving...I'm confused). If you can't be allowed to question beliefs being force fed to you, then there's somethin very wrong going on.

All in all, I don't believe human minds are capable of understanding what's going on beyone this life. At least not now (We only use a very small percentage of our brain, right?...)

Think that's roughly what I believe, that we're left to live our lives to the best of our ability and we won't be condemned for making mistakes along the way (because no one's perfect, by design we're imperfect).
